Rémi Gaillard (born 16 February 1975 in Montpellier, France) is a French prankster . He gained a certain amount of attention in the French media after performing a well-documented series of pranks, including a famous appearance disguised as a Lorient football player in the 2002 Coupe de France final match where he would eventually take part on the celebrations and even greet the then president of France Jacques Chirac. So far Gaillard has appeared in several sport events, TV game shows and even political rallies, normally breaking the security measures easily.
* Gaillard disguised himself with a Lorient team shirt, got through security and took part of the celebrations of Lorient's win of Coupe de France at the Stade de France. It went as far as greeting president Jacques Chirac, performing victory runs with Lorient players around the pitch holding the cup, giving a TV interview, and signing autographs. He appeared in several photos days later in editions of french journal L'Equipe.
* Gaillard, dressed in the same shirt (although without a number on the shirt's back) as the France men's national volleyball team, appeared July 27, 2002 in a qualifier match counting for the Volleyball World League alongside the french players during the singing of the French national hymn. This episode was broadcast live on Eurosport.
* Gaillard also appeared dressed in a Montpellier Herault rugby union kit and made his way onto the pitch at the beginning of the game. He walked to the centre of the pitch holding the match ball, shook hands with the referee, ran to the try line and rolled over the line whilst being chased by a security guard.
* Gaillard is rumoured to be a target for Benfica, Sheffield Wednesday and Doncaster Rovers. In July 2008 he will be undergoing trials for at least two of these clubs. It is believed that Chelsea will also be making a bid for the player.
